Before finding home at Facing Forward, Elizabeth was living in a youth shelter. As a young mother, Elizabeth couldn’t rely on her family, and had to move shelter-to-shelter with her children. Facing Forward has helped Elizabeth keep her children together, and begin building a long-term home. Elizabeth credits Facing Forward with helping with the little things: budgeting for housing supplies, Christmas gifts, and furniture for her kids. But it’s the big things that mean the most. “I’ve accomplished keeping me and my children together. I’ve found jobs and have gotten my children in great schools. I’m working on furthering my education and career,” Elizabeth said. With Facing Forward in her corner, Elizabeth knows that there’s no limit to what she can accomplish—and is focused on investing in her children’s futures.
